The bluepencil team focuses on helping its clients to deliver more for their business from their procurement activities. We are not interim managers looking to fill roles in your business and working out ways to extend our stay for as long as possible. Our projects can be both large and small and we are happy to undertake any project so long as it fits with our core brand value of delivering value to our clients. Best practice and capability assessments

prioritising where to target scarce budgets and getting executive management to buy in to your plans and aims can be difficult. A good starting point is knowing how you stack up against leading organisations and practices to help you accurately pinpoint those areas to focus on. And do you really need to improve across the board – which is a classic trap to fall into when there are likely to be certain areas where targeted improvement can make all the difference. Our team has worked with many globally leading organisations and has carried out a wide range of best practice assessments, including in the UK, Europe and Middle East. We bring this experience and knowledge to our clients and help you to understand practically where you compare to best practice, how and where you can improve, and to develop with you the plan to help you get there.

Category management

it is impossible for any one person to have worked across all categories. But bluepencil has worked across many and, with its associates, is able to provide leading and current input and insight into most categories of spend, and to provide advice and leadership to help you develop and implement a category strategy that will deliver maximum results for your business.

Coaching and training

sometimes, the skills and the methods are inherent in your team. But time is often tight and lifting your heads up to see how you can deliver to the best of your ability is hard to achieve. This is where bluepencil can come in. Working with your team one on one in coaching sessions (one off or against a long term plan) or through developing and delivering targeted training sessions to a larger group, bluepencil is able to work with you and help build your capability for the future.
